CBRN Protection

Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Protection

There are highly specialised rotective measures taken in situations in which chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear hazards are present. Shelters, isolation eqipment and masks with enhanced protection are some examples of passive protection against CBRN attacks. All CBRN protection must have special measures to protect against cross-contamination. What separates CBRN incidents from 'conventional' attacks is that the damage can easily spread from the target areas to cause potential catastrophe further afield. CBRN protection addresses the issues of contamination as well as personal protection.
